Surgical Services
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. We perform both elective and non-elective procedures. Elective procedures consist of spaying and neutering, which our Associate Veterinarians perform Tuesday through Friday.
Prior to surgery, a complete physical exam is performed We recommend pre-anesthetic blood work to help us identify any pre-existing conditions that may interfere with our patients ability to tolerate anesthetic drugs. During anesthesia your pets heart rate, blood oxygen levels and blood pressure are monitored as well as using an electrocardiogram. Each patient is placed on a warm water heating blanket as well as a Bairhugger warmth system to maintain body temperature. Pain level is monitored and managed both during and after the surgery. Pain medications are also dispensed to go home with patients if necessary.
